Job summary

1X is offering a fixed-term AI Residency in San Carlos, CA. You will work on real robotics problems, from data pipelines to deployment on production robots, embedded in a full-time team for 3–6 months.

Minimum requirements include a CS degree and experience with Python and DL frameworks; graduate ML/robotics students are preferred. Competitive compensation includes health insurance, a 401(k) match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (graduate ML/robotics students preferred).
• Experience prototyping ideas in ML/robotics and writing testable code.
• Familiarity with large Python codebases and deep learning frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Advance AI and robotics capabilities on production robots; contribute to evaluation and deployment.
• Build and improve data pipelines, evaluation benchmarks, and tooling for robotics tasks.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to ship capabilities to customer sites.
