Job summary

Bloomberg’s CTO Office in New York is seeking a Technical Strategist for AI Research to shape the research agenda and prototype next-generation AI infrastructure and platforms.

You will collaborate with researchers and industry partners to translate cutting-edge advances into Bloomberg products, design scalable workflows, and help communicate research outcomes externally. A PhD and strong publication record are required, with experience in rigorous research review and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD in AI or related field.
• Post-PhD experience is highly desirable and should be 5+ years in industry, academia, or a research-oriented organization.
• Strong publication record and credible presence in the AI research community.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Bloomberg’s research agenda through original research and engagement with the AI research community.
• Strengthen processes and infrastructure to support rigorous, reproducible research.
• Track advances in ML and communicate their relevance to Bloomberg’s products and clients.
• Represent Bloomberg’s AI research in external settings such as conferences and collaborations.
