Role Responsibilities include:

• Proposing and prototyping AI/ML solutions for 1910's design pipeline use cases.
• Applying productized AI/ML models to active drug design campaigns with minimal oversight.
• Publishing peer-reviewed scientific articles with limited support.
• Presenting recent AI research internally.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with scientific teams, serving as an AI/ML subject matter expert for cheminformatics and bioinformatics questions.
• Staying updated on cutting-edge AI research in drug discovery.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in AI or drug discovery.
• Strong understanding of statistics and classical ML methods (e.g., SVM, RF).
• Experience deploying advanced deep learning models (Transformers, GNNs).
• Knowledge of the drug discovery process at the molecular level.
• Wet lab validation experience for AI-driven drug discovery initiatives.
• Proficiency in clean, maintainable Python code.
• Familiarity with MLOps and DevOps practices.
• Experience with distributed computing platforms (Azure, university clusters).
• Published research in top-tier AI journals and conferences.
• Ability to demonstrate business value of AI solutions in biology and medicinal chemistry.
• Excellent communication skills.
