Job summary

Apogee is seeking an AI Prototyping Engineer at Offutt AFB, NE to translate mission needs into rapid prototypes using AI tools. You will build web apps, dashboards, and integrations, connect to APIs, databases, and SaaS platforms, and document decisions.

You will review AI-generated code for safety, ensure privacy and security, work with DoD stakeholders, and help prototypes hand off to production engineers. A Bachelor's in a technical field and 15+ years experience are required.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: US citizen is required.
• Clearance: TS w/SCI eligibility required.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• Experience: 15+ years in relevant work, 5+ years with the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Translate mission needs into rapid software prototypes.
• Use AI tools to generate, modify, test, and explain software.
• Build proofs-of-concept apps, dashboards, and integrations.
• Explore multiple directions and assess feasibility and UX.
• Collaborate with PMs, SMEs, and end users.
• Ensure prototypes are production-ready handoff-ready.
