HHMI’s Janelia Research Campus in Ashburn, VA, is seeking a Program Manager I for AI@HHMI to coordinate projects, budgets, and staffing across scientists, engineers, and operational staff. You will support the Head of AI@HHMI, drive proposals, maintain timelines, and ensure thorough documentation.

You should have a master’s degree or doctorate and at least three years of PM experience in scientific or industrial R&D, with a focus on delivering results and effective collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree or doctorate and at least 3 years of program/project management experience in scientific or industrial R&D.
• Experience managing budgets, timelines, and staffing for multiple projects.
• Ability to work with leadership, scientists, engineers, and operational staff.

Responsabilités

• Guide projects from approval to closure, organizing reviews, tracking milestones, and final reports.
• Maintain accurate budgets and staffing; coordinate with Finance on annual budgets.
• Prepare briefings and reports for HHMI leadership and Head of AI@HHMI; track action items.
