Job summary

Cambium Learning Group seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead high-impact AI initiatives and manage a strategic AI roadmap. You will work closely with the AI Engineering Lead to evaluate technologies, plan work, and coordinate cross-team efforts across data pipelines, deployment cycles, and model releases.

You will triage complex systems, validate data with SQL, and drive agile delivery in Jira/Confluence, translating technical constraints into clear leadership guidance and ensuring

Qualifications

• Solid grasp of core AI/ML concepts (LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning vs prompting) and data pipeline infrastructure.
• Ability to write basic-to-intermediate SQL queries and interpret backend components.
• Experience with AI-native engineering productivity tools (Copilot, Cursor) to speed delivery.

Responsibilities

• AI roadmap, innovation and strategic partnership management.
• Co-manage AI roadmap with AI Engineering Lead and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Identify AI opportunities to optimize systems or enhance features.
• Technical analysis, triage and data integrity across data pipelines and models.
• Triage complex AI systems and manage engineering escalation pipeline.
• Validate data with SQL queries to ensure data integrity across systems.
• Coordinate deployments and model release cycles with DevOps and engineering teams.
• Oversee deployment activities during maintenance windows for stability.
• Drive project management and cross-functional delivery with Jira and Confluence.
• Translate technical findings into actionable insights for leadership.
• Lead multi-team AI initiatives with clear dependencies across teams.
• Practice Agile management to optimize iterative AI development workflows.
