Job summary

Pitney Bowes is seeking a technical product leader to drive AI-enabled software delivery across engineering, product, and security teams. You translate strategy into execution and help teams deliver scalable, responsible AI capabilities.

You will own backlogs, define success criteria, lead Agile ceremonies, and coordinate with stakeholders to align priorities with business goals while balancing speed, quality, and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical product ownership or similar leadership role.
• Experience owning and prioritizing a product backlog in Agile.
• Experience delivering AI/ML or LLM-powered capabilities into production.
• Strong understanding of AI patterns including prompting, RAG, tool/function calling, agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails.
• Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, authentication models, and software architecture concepts.
• Experience facilitating Scrum or Kanban across distributed teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and translate complex business needs into clear requirements.
• Comfort operating in fast-paced environments with experimentation and learning.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the backlog and delivery cadence for AI product teams, ensuring alignment with goals.
• Partner with engineering, product, architecture, security, and business stakeholders to define outcomes and plans.
• Translate strategic objectives into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable work for development teams.
• Define success criteria for AI capabilities, including evaluation, governance, performance and observability.
• Prioritize work across multiple stakeholders balancing business value and technical considerations.
• Maintain visibility into platform capabilities, integrations, and governance requirements.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Monitor delivery health via velocity, cycle time, backlog readiness, and dependencies.
• Remove obstacles and coordinate across teams to keep work progressing.
• Support estimation, roadmap planning, and scope discussions in a balance of innovation and execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives for integrations and shared deliverables.
• Translate technical decisions into deliverable outcomes with architects and engineering leads.
• Maintain traceability between business requirements and implementation.
• Support AI governance activities, including model reviews, data handling, and change management.
• Monitor platform performance, model utilization, and cost considerations.
• Lead PoCs as structured experiments with measurable outcomes and recommendations.
• Serve as a trusted status source across product, engineering, and security.
