Job summary

Diamondback Energy, Inc. seeks an AI Product Owner - Engineering to lead AI product outcomes across Drilling, Completions, Production Operations, Marketing and related field workflows in Midland, Texas.

You will own the product lifecycle from discovery through adoption, partnering with AI Engineering & Delivery to ensure feasible, scalable solutions that drive efficiency and value realization. Requirements include a technical degree in petroleum or related engineering/analytics fields and 5+

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

Partner with Drilling, Completions, Production Operations, Marketing, and related stakeholders to understand workflows, data requirements, controls, and operational challenges, and identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI and automation opportunities based on business value, technical feasibility, risk, data readiness, and strategic alignment.
Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, success criteria, acceptance criteria, and AI quality expectations.
Own post-launch product performance and continuous improvement by monitoring adoption, AI performance, business outcomes, realized value, user feedback, and relevant risk measures.
