Job summary

Diamondback Energy seeks an AI Product Owner – Corporate Functions to represent the business for AI products across Finance, Land, Legal and HR. You own the product lifecycle from discovery to adoption, partner with AI Engineering, data, security and governance teams, and deliver responsible solutions that improve processes and decision making.

You will translate business needs into clear requirements and user stories, manage the backlog, and define success metrics with sponsors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years supporting corporate functions in oil and gas or regulated industry.
• Experience delivering AI, ML, automation, data, or analytics products from concept through adoption.

Responsibilities

• Understand processes, data needs, controls, and opportunities; prioritize AI opportunities by value and feasibility.
• Own problem definition, vision, user workflows, and success measures with sponsors.
• Lead discovery with prototypes, data exploration, and rapid experiments to reduce uncertainty.
• Translate needs into requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor post-launch performance and realize ongoing value with risk controls.
