Job summary

Diamondback E&P LLC seeks an AI Product Owner for Corporate Functions to oversee AI products across Finance, Land, Legal, and Human Resources. You will drive the product lifecycle from discovery to adoption, partnering with AI Engineering, Data, Security, Governance, Legal, and risk teams to ensure compliant, value-driven solutions that improve processes and decision-making.

You will lead business validation, define success metrics, and manage backlogs while ensuring alignment with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting corporate functions in oil and gas or another regulated industry.
• Experience leading cross-functional technology, process improvement, or business transformation initiatives.
• Experience translating business needs into clear requirements, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience working with enterprise business, data, or reporting systems.
• Experience delivering AI, machine learning, automation, data, or analytics products from concept through adoption.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business processes, data requirements, controls, and challenges; identify and prioritize AI/automation opportunities.
• Own the product vision, roadmap, priorities, success measures, and outcomes; collaborate with AI Value & Economics Lead on baselining performance.
• Lead product discovery using rapid prototypes, workflow simulations, data exploration, user testing, and lightweight experiments.
• Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and AI quality expectations.
• Manage product backlog; lead validation and user acceptance testing; maintain acceptance rights against defined requirements.
