Job summary

Diamondback Energy, Inc. is seeking an AI Product Owner for Corporate Functions to lead AI product opportunities in Finance, Land, Legal, and HR.

You will own the product lifecycle from discovery to adoption, partnering with AI Engineering & Delivery and other tech teams to ensure feasible, compliant, and scalable solutions that improve processes and decision-making. You will translate business needs into clear requirements, manage roadmaps and success metrics, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, IS or related field with 5+ years in corporate functions
Experience leading cross-functional technology, process improvement, or business transformation initiatives
Experience delivering AI, ML, automation, data, or analytics products from concept through adoption

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to understand processes, data needs, controls, and challenges; identify AI/automation opportunities
Own product vision, roadmap, success measures, and outcomes; establish baseline performance with sponsors
Lead product discovery using rapid prototypes, data exploration, user testing, and lightweight experiments
Translate needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and AI quality expectations
Manage backlog and lead validation, user acceptance testing, and decision rights
Collaborate with technology, data, security, governance, legal, and risk teams for compliant solutions
Represent stakeholder needs, coordinate dependencies, and support adoption
Monitor post-launch performance and drive continuous improvement based on adoption and value
