We've partnered with Biorender to recruit a fully remote Senior AI Product Engineer to help integrate AI capabilities across their product teams. This role will work cross-functionally with various teams depending on your background and strengths. As the first dedicated AI engineering hire, you'll be instrumental in steering them towards the emerging startup landscape where AI is driving massive efficiency and growth.

The role :

• This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll be coding 100% of the time
• The role will be shaped around your strengths and experience
• Cross-functional work across different teams (Enterprise, CX, etc.)
• Opportunity to be the first dedicated AI engineer in an evergreen role
• Helping move toward the modern startup model where small teams leverage AI for outsized impact

You might be tasked with evaluating how we can use LLMs to enhance their enterprise product's capabilities. This would involve researching available models, building prototypes to demonstrate potential use cases, and working with the product team to integrate selected solutions. You'll need to balance technical feasibility with business needs while ensuring they're using AI in ways that provide genuine value rather than just following trends.

• $170K-$200K
• Fully remote working (option to attend periodic hackathons and annual meetups)
• Stock options
• A full-stack software engineer (7-12 years of experience) with a genuine passion for AI
• Someone who has integrated AI tools beyond just basic coding assistants (e.g., Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot)
• Experience working directly with OpenAI APIs or implementing open-source LLMs
• Someone who works very closely with product teams
• Background in building product features, not just researching ML models
