Qualifications

Position Responsibilities:

Product Support & Delivery:

• Maintain the backlog for assigned AI platforms, writing and refining user stories and acceptance criteria under the direction of a senior product owner.
• Support sprint ceremonies including planning, standups, and retrospectives, and keep boards, dependencies, and blockers current and visible.
• Run functional and acceptance testing on new features, log defects with clear reproduction steps, and verify fixes before release.
• Keep product documentation current, including specifications, release notes, process maps, and user-facing training material.
• Coordinate release logistics with engineering and the practice, covering test scheduling, user communications, and post-release checks.

Requirements & Stakeholder Support:

• Capture and synthesize requirements-gathering sessions with practice subject matter experts into clear, structured summaries the team can act on.
• Triage incoming requests and day-to-day user questions on assigned platforms, routing what you cannot answer to the right owner.
• Prepare status updates, demo materials, and release notes for practitioners and project stakeholders.
• Collect and summarize user feedback after each release so it informs the next round of prioritization.

AI & Innovation:

• Build practical fluency in the generative-AI capabilities used in professional services: LLMs, document intelligence, agentic workflows, and structured output generation.
• Write, test, and iterate prompts, and run structured evaluations of model output for accuracy, consistency, and edge-case handling.
• Assist with testing AI models, APIs, and tooling (e.g., Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Azure AI) for integration into Aprio's platforms.
• Follow responsible AI practices, including data privacy, data residency, and client confidentiality requirements (e.g., §7216 consent where applicable).

Qualifications:

Required:

• 1-3 years of experience in product, technology, operations, consulting, analytics, or a professional-services delivery role.
• Internships and rotational programs count.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Working knowledge of user stories, acceptance criteria, sprints, and testing, from coursework or on the job.
• Genuine curiosity about generative AI and a willingness to learn by doing.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to write a summary a busy practitioner will actually read.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with reliable follow-through on commitments without reminders.
• Comfort learning unfamiliar domains quickly and asking precise questions to close the gaps.

Preferred:

• Exposure to public accounting or professional services.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Jira and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform).
• Basic familiarity with APIs, SQL, or scripting, enough to test and troubleshoot rather than build.
• Interest in tax, audit, or advisory domain software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystems, TaxCaddy).
