Job summary

Pond & Company is seeking a Software Engineer to join our growing software development team. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, applying modern AI technologies to solve real‑world business problems and automate workflows.

You will collaborate with a small, highly‑collaborative team to design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and agentic AI systems enhancing internal and external client solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related discipline.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building web apps, APIs, or enterprise software solutions.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of OO design and modern software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support AI-enabled software solutions and workflows.
• Contribute to AI agent workflows and integrations with cloud services.
• Develop and optimize RAG pipelines, vector databases, and prompt engineering tasks.
• Write clean, testable code following best practices and perform code reviews.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies and best practices.
