Empower is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain Python-based security automations that enhance cybersecurity and operational efficiency. You will partner with governance, risk, and compliance teams to translate needs into robust automation across cloud platforms and internal tools.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled automation using large language models and MCP, with strong emphasis on secure integrations, governance, and proactive vulnerability analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on software development or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python, including production-quality code development and maintenance.
• Experience building API-driven applications and integrations with error handling and logging.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and maintainable software design.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and validating generated output.

Responsabilités

• Develop, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain Python-based security automation solutions.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to clarify requirements and document designs.
• Build reliable Python applications, services, APIs, workflows, and internal tools.
• Develop API-driven integrations across security tools and cloud platforms.
• Create security automation that validates cloud resources against standards.
• Develop AI-enabled security automation using LLMs and MCP-based capabilities.
• Contribute to agentic security capabilities, including static analysis for vulnerabilities and secrets.
• Use AI-assisted tools for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation, validating outputs.
• Troubleshoot across applications, APIs, identity, cloud infra, data flows, and runtimes.
• Collaborate via code reviews, shared tooling, and engineering documentation to improve security and governance.
