Job summary

AMP is hiring a Scale Dispatcher to work onsite in Portsmouth, Virginia. You will operate facility scale systems, coordinate routing, process billing, and serve as the main contact for customers, drivers, and internal teams.

You’ll ensure accurate reporting, efficient logistics, and high-quality service. The role requires dispatch or scale operations experience, basic math and data entry skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in dispatch, scale operations, logistics, or administrative support.
• Basic math and data entry proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate facility scale systems and coordinate daily routing and dispatch activities.
• Process billing and documentation and act as primary contact for customers, drivers, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate reporting and support high-quality customer service.
• Enter tickets and route data for scale operations and ensure accurate night logs.
• Prepare daily scale logs and operational reports and assist with bi-monthly billing cycles.
