Job summary

Programmers.io in New Jersey invites a Junior SDET to join enterprise QA teams. You will develop and maintain test cases using Python and Java, contribute to UI automation with Selenium/Playwright, and participate in AI assisted QA practices under senior SDETs.

You'll work with Azure environments and Azure DevOps pipelines, perform data validation with SQL, REST/JSON testing, and help improve CI/CD test coverage. This is a hands-on automation role in modern pipelines with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Hands on programming in Python and Java.
• Experience with Selenium or Playwright for UI automation.
• Familiarity with test frameworks (PyTest, JUnit, TestNG).
• Basic REST APIs and JSON validation.
• SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Git fundamentals and CI/CD workflows.
• Interest in AI assisted testing and AI tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test cases based on project requirements.
• Participate in requirement review, defect triages and represent QA.
• Execute test cases, report bugs using Azure Devops/Jira or similar tools.
• Automate test scripts using Python and/or Java as required.
• Contribute to UI automation (Selenium / Playwright).
• Execute automated regression suites and analyze failures.
• Support AI assisted testing and learn prompt engineering best practices.
• Perform basic data validation using SQL and Python, validate API responses and data files.
• Assist senior SDETs in backend and data quality testing efforts.
