The SDET is responsible for ensuring software quality through automated testing, collaboration with engineering teams, and continuous improvement of testing practices across web, mobile, and API-based applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
- Execute and manage testing across the full lifecycle, including smoke, regression, end-to-end, integration, API, performance, security, accessibility, compatibility, localization, UAT, and exploratory testing.
- Partner with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into test plans and test cases.
- Identify, track, and drive resolution of defects and production issues; participate in on-call support as needed.
- Define and report quality metrics and continuously improve test coverage, tools, and processes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of quality and standardized testing practices across teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
- Experience using AI tools to improve software quality and development efficiency.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Knowledge of cloud and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure).
- ISTQB or equivalent certification.
