Job summary

Tyler Technologies seeks a Sr. Automation Engineer (SDET) to join our fast-paced team. You will design and develop automated tests within our AI-assisted framework, covering regression, functional, and API testing.

You will work with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and help optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster, more reliable test execution. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years in QA or development as an SDET, strong C# and JavaScript skills, and experience with Jira, Zephyr, and AWS

Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer related degree or equivalent.
• 5-7 years professional experience in QA or Development as SDET.
• Proficiency in C# and JavaScript.
• Experience with Jira, Zephyr and AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for regression, functional, and API testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional sprint teams to understand requirements and provide QA support.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, ensuring resolution before release.
• Execute regression, integration, and system tests to validate software functionality and performance.
• Continue to learn new technologies and adapt test strategies accordingly.
• Mentor and train junior Automation Engineers on best practices for automated testing.
• Optimize CI/CD test automation pipelines with DevOps to improve speed and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews for automation scripts to ensure maintainability.
• Drive test data management and ensure automated tests cover diverse scenarios.
• Support evaluating and integrating new testing tools to enhance QA capabilities.
