Job summary

Humana Inc. in the United States is seeking a senior technology leader to own the technology portfolio for front-office and clinic operations, driving AI-enabled capabilities, ambient documentation, and workflow automation at scale.

You will partner with executive leaders to translate clinical and business needs into roadmaps, build scalable data platforms, and oversee major transformation programs across multi-state markets, while upholding governance and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience in product development, engineering, data, analytics, and digital transformation.
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, data scientists, UX designers, architects, and clinical informaticists.
• Proven success delivering AI-enabled products and enterprise-scale operational capabilities.
• Deep understanding of healthcare delivery workflows, especially primary care, care management, and value-based care.
• Experience designing modern data platforms, interoperability solutions, and AI/ML ecosystems on cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to translate business, clinical, and operational needs into technology roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
• Track record of creating exceptional user experiences for physicians, clinical staff, patients, and operational associates.
• Strong skills in human-centered design, user research, journey mapping, and digital product development.
• Experience leading enterprise AI strategy including generative AI, predictive analytics, intelligent workflow automation, decision support, and responsible AI governance.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, APIs).
• Experience working with clinical, claims, operational, and consumer health data.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing technology organizations through growth and transformation.
• Ability to influence executive leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong financial management including investment planning, vendor management, and business case development.
• Experience establishing product operating models and outcome-based performance management.
• Exceptional communication and leadership presence with senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Transform Provider Productivity Through AI at Scale by designing and deploying ambient documentation, chart summarization, pre-visit planning, coding assistance, and intelligent clinical decision support.
• Own the Technology Portfolio Supporting Practice Operations across front-office, back-office, and clinic operations, balancing reliability with new capabilities across multi-state markets.
• Drive data-driven business outcomes by developing operational data assets, automation, AI-enabled insights, and decision-support platforms.
• Lead strategic initiatives across the Primary Care Enterprise including EMR optimization, AI adoption, workflow modernization, acquisitions, and clinic integration programs.
• Shape the long-term strategy for AI-enabled practice operations, identify automation opportunities, orchestrate workflows, and scale reusable tech platforms with strong governance.
