Job summary

Gusto seeks an IT Controls Engineer to own, evolve, and scale ITGCs across NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, and adjacent platforms. You will partner with Internal Audit, IT, Security, and Finance to ensure SOX 404 compliance while building AI-enabled, scalable assurance in a high-growth enterprise environment.

You'll lead the first-line control environment, drive SoD strategy, and implement automated controls with Pathlock, SailPoint, and Saviynt.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT controls, audit, or governance in enterprise apps.
• Deep expertise in SOX 404, COSO, COBIT and ITGC across ERP/CRM.
• Experience leading external audits (Big 4 or equivalent).
• Proven ability to build AI-augmented controls and CCM.

Responsibilities

• Own ITGC design and operation across ERP, HRIS, and CRM systems.
• Lead first-line control environment with owners and engineers.
• Drive SoD strategy and ongoing monitoring tooling.
• Manage audit lifecycle with Internal/External Audit and SOX PMO.
• Build AI-native continuous controls monitoring and evidence pipelines.
• Partner with Security/GRC, Legal, Finance, and Ops to align controls.
