Job summary

Patlytics in New York, NY seeks an experienced IP attorney to join the Strategy team as a Legal Engineer. You will translate patent practice into practical workflows, support GTM, product, and partnerships, and lead consultative demos for law firms and in-house teams.

The role requires 5+ years of patent prosecution or IP litigation experience, USPTO registration preferred, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent legal qualification.
• 5+ years of IP attorney experience at top law firm or in-house.
• USPTO registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sit at the center of the company and support GTM (pre-sale, POCs, pilots, closing, post-sale), product roadmaps, partnerships, and marketing.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to troubleshoot real use cases and guide roadmap priorities.
• Act as the Voice of the Customer through a patent-law lens to inform GTM and product decisions.
• Engage with patent professionals at clients to understand workflow challenges and demonstrate Patlytics value.
• Build credibility as a subject-matter expert spanning prosecution, portfolio work, diligence and related workflows.
• Lead consultative product demos tailored to law firm and in-house audiences.
• Drive and support pilots end-to-end with cross-functional collaboration and rapid iteration.
• Partner with Marketing to develop collateral that resonates with patent professionals, ensuring accuracy and differentiation.
