Kaizen, based in New York City and Washington, DC, builds AI-native internal tools to modernize government software and accelerate delivery for federal agencies.

In this hybrid NYC role, you will own internal tooling from discovery through rollout and ongoing iterations, focusing on AI-enabled automation and high-impact workflows.

You will collaborate with Proposals, Customer Ops, Sales, Design, and Engineering to convert vague needs into scalable solutions that save hours of work.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of engineering, data, or applied AI experience.
• End-to-end project previously built and used by a team.
• Fluency with AI tools and practical shipping experience.
• Strong SQL and data modeling for warehouse work.
• Ability to translate vague stakeholder asks into concrete scope.

Responsibilities

• Own internal tools end to end from discovery to rollout and fixes.
• Build AI-powered internal systems like Bidbuddy: parsing, analysis, workflows, routing.
• Collaborate with Proposals, Customer Ops, Sales, Design and Engineering to identify time sinks and build solutions.
• Drive AI enablement across the company so everyone can leverage tools.
• Support external analytics within Kaizen's platform for actionable data.
