Job summary

Audible, part of Amazon, is seeking a Data Scientist to join the economics team. You will translate business questions into robust econometric/ML models, automate repetitive tasks, and build production-ready tools that scale with AI at the core of workflows.

You will collaborate across teams, mentor junior scientists, and contribute to pricing, experimentation, and product optimizations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in statistics, mathematics, data science, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science.
• 2+ years in industry using Python and SQL to analyze large data sets and build models.
• Experience solving optimization or measurement problems.
• Familiarity with causal thinking and econometrics.
• Curiosity about customer value and business outcomes.
• Ability to drive ambiguous projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with economists, analysts, and data scientists to build scalable econometric/ML models and tools.
• Lead data pipelining, feature engineering, deployment, and impact measurement.
• Explore new AI tools and external data sources to enhance quantitative work.
• Partner with Product/Content/Marketing to drive cross-functional impact.
• Mentor junior scientists and raise the bar for AI-enabled analytics.
