Job summary

Farmers Group Inc. is seeking a Sr Cloud Platform Engineer to lead multi‑cloud operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP, focusing on AI‑driven automation and autonomous infrastructure management.

You will design and govern AI-powered agents, implement IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible, and supervise CI/CD pipelines while ensuring security and compliance. Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in public cloud operations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong expertise with AWS Bedrock/Agent Frameworks and Azure Copilot for Cloud Operations.
• Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible; CI/CD pipelines; supervising AI-generated infrastructure artifacts.
• Python and Bash scripting proficiency.
• Experience integrating observability tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) into AI/ML platforms.
• Understanding of SRE and operational reliability principles.
• Experience with monitoring tools and ServiceNow.
• Ability to adapt to new cloud releases and emerging technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, scalability, reliability and security of cloud platforms and services.
• Design, deploy, and govern AI-powered agents to achieve autonomous self-healing and automated resource management.
• Handle Terraform for EC2 changes, S3 updates, access management and managed services.
• Oversee AI-generated IaC for scalable automation pipelines to provision, deploy, patch and manage cloud infra.
• Implement AI-based automation for incident detection and autonomous response.
• Use GenAI to perform real-time RCA and auto-generate runbooks and incident summaries.
• Develop predictive ML models to forecast outages and configure proactive monitoring and alerts.
• Manage security/compliance; detect drift and auto-generate compliant updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness and integration with applications.
• Lead PoCs, adopt new cloud services and adapt to new releases.
