Accenture in Pittsburgh, PA onsite is seeking an experienced Application Security professional to modernize security for cloud-first environments. You will design secure architectures for .NET, Java, Linux web apps, and SQL databases, translating security needs into scalable cloud-ready solutions.

The role emphasizes secure-by-default practices, automation, DevSecOps, and AI-powered approaches, with opportunities to mentor juniors and lead critical engagement components.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in application security, focused on modernizing security frameworks and securing cloud environments using DevSecOps.
• 3+ years of experience migrating, assessing, and securing .NET apps, Java apps, SAP apps, and SQL databases in cloud settings.
• 3+ years of experience with application security tooling (SAST, SCA, DAST, ASPM, CNAPP, WAF, Secrets Scanning, Container Scanning, API Security Scanning, AI Security assessments, IaC scanning).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years work experience); Alternatively Associate’s degree with minimum 6 years work experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships by translating security requirements into actionable plans.
• Design modern security architectures for .NET, Linux web apps, Java apps, and SQL databases in cloud environments.
• Provide hands-on security during migration of legacy applications to the cloud, ensuring compliance and security standards.
• Apply deep application security knowledge to cloud migration and modernization challenges.
• Integrate security within DevSecOps and implement security through the secure SDLC.
• Deliver modern application security solutions, including AI agents and Harnesses.
• Conduct security assessments with emphasis on modernized environments.
• Take ownership of significant engagement components, with scope for smaller projects.
• Support engagement planning and ensure alignment with contracts and work plans.
• Coach and develop junior practitioners and contribute reusable assets and best practices.
