Job summary

Visionist, Inc. in Laurel, MD, seeks an AI Platform Lead with TS/SCI clearance to guide the design and deployment of an enterprise LLM-powered platform supporting analysts, engineers, and operators across mission domains.

You will lead multiple engineering teams, define requirements with stakeholders, evaluate models and architectures, and drive adoption of secure, scalable AI capabilities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 12+ years in software development.
• 12 years of software development experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams with diverse backgrounds.
• Experience engaging with customers and end users to gather requirements and drive adoption of technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience building production applications servicing hundreds to thousands of users.
• Experience designing agentic workflows or multi-agent orchestration systems.
• Experience leveraging AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and automation (Codex, ClaudeCode).

Responsibilities

• Solicit requirements and architect an enterprise agentic platform.
• Work with stakeholders, engineers, and cyber analysts to understand operational workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Evaluate AI models, deployment architectures, and infrastructure options.
• Advise customers on AI investment strategies and resource allocation to maximize mission impact.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies and advocate adoption of innovative capabilities.
• Conduct outreach and training to promote adoption of AI capabilities across the user community.
• Lead and coordinate multiple engineering teams by defining requirements and tracking execution against objectives.
