Job summary

EY seeks an AI Systems Engineer to build and operate the foundational, cloud-native substrate powering EY’s AI-native platform. You will own the infrastructure across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets, ensuring reliability and portability for regulated client contexts.

The role requires deep Kubernetes expertise, hands-on systems depth, and proficiency with IaC and GitOps. EY offers a hybrid work model and comprehensive rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure or large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes distributions (RKE2, EKS/AKS/GKE, K3s) and full cluster lifecycle management.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tooling such as Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, ArgoCD, Crossplane.

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster & cloud-native platform: compute, Kubernetes, scheduling, multi-tenancy, and distributed compute.
• Own the infrastructure foundation: Ubuntu/OS, bare-metal, DPU, and NVIDIA GPUs for production readiness.
• Stand up and manage EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped deployment modes.
• Deliver foundational platform capabilities enabling safe and consistent downstream services.
• Own cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, GPU pooling, and multi-tenancy boundaries.
• Own secure execution and inference with Ray Serve, vLLM/NIM/Triton, and NVIDIA components.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD/CV, IaC/GitOps for reproducible environments.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and cross-environment replication with Velero, etc.
• Ensure modular, swappable substrate to minimize vendor lock-in.
