Job summary

Evolent is seeking a Sr. Director, AI Platform Engineering to lead multiple engineering teams building and operating a scalable AI platform for enterprise healthcare solutions.

You will drive architectural direction, establish platform standards, and deliver high-quality software in production while shaping the team and culture to meet growing demand. The role emphasizes staffing teams, partnering with product and architecture, and ensuring system observability and reliability as the platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience with leadership roles.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale software projects on time and within budget.
• Experience building engineering teams for new initiatives.
• Strong technical expertise in software architecture and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering teams delivering AI platform capabilities from build through production.
• Align roadmap with architecture and product partners, ensuring foundational capabilities land first.
• Define platform contracts and standards with Enterprise Architecture.
• Scale multiple engineering teams and hire engineering managers at pace.
• Oversee delivery of scalable, high-quality software with observability and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with executives to shape the platform roadmap and strategy.
