We are seeking an AI Platform Engineer to develop and support AI applications and foundational algorithms. This individual will initially join Collins and transition to RTX effective January 1, 2026.

What YOU will do:
  • Integrate AI platform tools with enterprise systems such as identity management, logging, and governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and successful solution delivery, aligned with SAFe principles of teamwork and transparency.
  • Build internal SDKs, APIs, and microservices to support AI workflows across hybrid environments.
  • Develop cloud-agnostic software that runs efficiently on AWS, Azure, and on-prem Kubernetes clusters.
  • Leverage managed services such as AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) where appropriate.
  • Write clean, testable, and efficient code with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, maintainability, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborate across remote teams, working in a highly regulated, security-conscious environment.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience implementing service APIs (FastAPI, Flask, AWS Lambda, or Azure Functions).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.).
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and delivery.
  • Understanding of AI/ML tools, data platforms, and API management platforms.
  • Additional languages: Node.js or Go.
  • DevOps methodologies, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical curiosity.
