Job summary

Verizon is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy MCP servers and tools that connect external APIs and internal data sources with AI coding agents.

You will develop agentic workflows, integrate GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Devin AI, and VS Code extensions into the SDLC, and optimize prompts and context to boost developer productivity across Verizon.

The role is hybrid, with a mix of remote work and in-office days to suit policy and business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant AI/ML software engineering experience.
Experience building MCP servers, tools, and integrations for LLMs.
Knowledge of IDE extension development and SDLC automation.
Experience with developer AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Devin AI.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy MCP servers and tools connecting external APIs and internal tools.
Develop and fine-tune agentic workflows and multi-agent architectures.
Apply advanced prompt design, context injection, and hallucination mitigation strategies.
Evaluate and integrate AI developer tools and IDE extensions into the workflow.
Optimize open-source models and foundational LLMs for enterprise needs.
