Job summary

Brain Co. is seeking an AI Platform Engineer Intern to help build backend services and platform capabilities powering our AI applications.

You’ll contribute to APIs, shared services, developer tooling, and production systems used in enterprise and government environments. This internship is designed for current undergraduates (juniors/seniors) graduating no later than June 2028 who want hands-on experience building real production software.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate junior or senior graduating no later than June 2028.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience building backend services or APIs in one of the listed languages.
• Familiarity with Git, testing, and debugging; comfortable with cloud or containerized deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve backend services and APIs across REST, gRPC, and event-driven systems.
• Translate open-ended needs into clear technical solutions with cross-team collaboration.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions and see work deployed to real users.
• Work on real production systems used globally and mentor from experienced engineers.
