Job summary

SentinelOne is seeking a Staff AI Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Services, to own the AI Gateway infrastructure (Kong AI Gateway) and drive reliability across the platform. You will design, scale, and secure auth, rate limiting, and observability, partnering with CI/CD, GitOps, and artifact teams to align AI infra with the broader stack.

You’ll lead incident response, set technical direction, mentor engineers, and work with security, DevEx, and product teams to translate needs into scalable

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering with production ownership.
• Hands-on with API gateway technologies and AI/LLM gateway patterns.
• Strong Kubernetes and GitOps experience across multiple environments.
• CI/CD expertise including Jenkins and GitHub Actions runners.

Responsibilities

• Architect, harden, and scale Kong AI Gateway deployment with auth, rate limiting, caching, and observability.
• Lead reliability and incident response; drive root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Design across the platform, collaborating with CI/CD, GitOps, and artifact teams.
• Evaluate and roll out AI developer tooling and build-vs-buy recommendations.
• Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with security and product teams.
• Host and operate self-hosted model serving infrastructure and LLMOps practices.
• Track usage and cost with observability across API and self-hosted models.
