Job summary

Lenovo is seeking an AI Platform Engineer for the Global Future Leaders Program in Morrisville, NC. You will help design, prototype, and scale Agentic AI applications on PC infrastructure, working with senior architects, product leaders, and AI researchers.

You will build AI agents, optimize workloads, and contribute to secure, local inference environments. You will learn to balance performance, latency, and cost while collaborating with global teams and stakeholders across Lenovo’s technology

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or related field.
Strong ML fundamentals, NLP or generative AI concepts, and systems programming basics.
Proficiency in Python and experience with LLMs, AI agents, or multimodal models.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear communication.
Builder mindset, curiosity about frontier AI, ownership and execution bias.

Responsibilities

Design and build next‑gen Agentic AI applications for PC infrastructure.
Prototype AI agents using LLMs, multimodal models, prompting and tooling.
Develop scalable AI application frameworks for local and hybrid deployments.
Optimize AI workloads across CPUs/GPUs and evaluate performance and cost.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and security teams to translate ideas into prototypes.
