Job summary

EY is seeking a seasoned Technical Delivery Manager to drive day-to-day execution of the engineering teams building EY’s Agentic AI platform. You will own delivery cadence, manage cross‑team dependencies, and ensure commitments are met with evidence-based delivery metrics.

The role requires credible technical depth, hands-on delivery experience, and the ability to challenge estimates while keeping teams focused on shipping usable capability on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or demonstrably equivalent depth.
• 7+ years in technical delivery or Scrum Master roles supporting software engineering teams with delivery outcomes.
• Hands-on software engineering background or equivalent technical depth.
• Ability to evaluate estimates, work decomposition, and risk with evidence.
• Proven track record running Scrum or Kanban for experienced engineers with full ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery cadence: run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives across engineering teams.
• Drive progress against commitments: track in-flight items to completion, surface slippage promptly.
• Hold engineers to deliverables and timelines with explicit definitions of done and dated commitments.
• Interrogate estimates, test sizing, and separate genuine risk from padding.
• Break down ambiguous work into properly sized, independently deliverable stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Own sprint and release planning across phased platform build and defend entry/exit gates.
• Manage cross-discipline dependencies across platform, infrastructure, data, security and delivery cells.
• Own delivery risk and issue management with live risk/dependency views and mitigation.
• Report delivery status with evidence: velocity, cycle time, flow, defects, and phase gate burn.
• Protect team focus from interruptions and competing stakeholder demands.
• Partner with engineering leads and architects on sequencing, staffing, and technical direction.
