The intern will distill large volumes of information, build AI-assisted workflows, and draft client updates for attorney review, with a focus on confidential data handling.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic analytical ability, including the capacity to interpret operational data
• Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, case management or CRM platforms (e.g., Filevine, CASEpeer, Clio, Litify, Smokeball, HubSpot, or similar)
• Genuine interest in legal technology, automation, and process improvement
• Comfort using AI tools and large language models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) to improve efficiency
• A self-starter mindset, with the ability to build processes rather than wait for direction
• Trustworthiness with confidential information and a strong commitment to client privacy

Responsibilities

• Auditing and organizing the case management system to ensure files, deadlines, and client records are complete and accurate
• Building AI-assisted workflows to process medical records, intake calls, and case documents, allowing attorneys to focus on casework
• Drafting client updates and status communications for attorney review and approval
• Documenting workflows and procedures to improve efficiency on future cases
• Participating in intake and case review meetings and preparing follow-up summaries
• Evaluating new AI tools and reporting findings and recommendations to the team
• Developing simple dashboards to track case status and identify process bottlenecks
