Job summary

Accenture is hiring a product designer to join a small, permanent product team focused on AI‑native design. The role integrates product management, design, and engineering with autonomy from prototype through production and scale.

Based in Seattle, Mountain View, San Francisco, San Jose, or New York with regular in‑person work and periodic travel to meet customers and design partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience designing, delivering, and optimizing software products, digital platforms, or user experiences in production environments.
• Minimum 8 years of experience leading the design of complex products, major product capabilities, or new business offerings from concept through launch, adoption, and ongoing enhancement.
• Minimum 2 years of substantive, hands‑on experience designing AI‑native products, intelligent workflows, or user experiences that incorporate generative AI into day‑to‑day product usage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience designing products that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, retrieval systems, tool integrations, workflow automation, or other advanced AI technologies.
• Minimum 2 years of experience designing for AI‑enabled user experiences, including latency, model quality, explainability, uncertainty, reliability, human oversight, and failure recovery.
• Minimum 8 years of experience applying interaction design, information architecture, user‑centered design, prototyping, visual design, and systems thinking to enterprise or consumer software products

Responsibilities

• Shape the product from discovery to production and scale, defining customer problems, product thesis, and experience strategy.
• Design AI‑native experiences that address intent, delegation, oversight, transparency, and control for agents, models, and tools.
• Simplify complex enterprise workflows into coherent experiences while preserving essential controls for expert users.
• Create prototypes early and often to explore ideas and test interaction models with customers and design partners.
• Design across the full customer journey including onboarding, core workflows, agent interactions, configuration, collaboration, approvals, exceptions, errors, and ongoing use.
• Set and maintain a high quality bar for interaction design, visual design, content, information architecture, accessibility, and product coherence.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to understand constraints, make tradeoffs, and use coded prototypes and AI‑assisted development tools where helpful.
• Work directly with customers, design partners, and internal teams to learn from usage and combine qualitative research, product data, evaluation results, and support signals to improve the experience.

The role focuses on AI-native product design and is not a consulting, service design, research-only, or forward-deployed role. The position is hybrid and based in Seattle, Mountain View, San Francisco, San Jose, or New York, with regular in-person work expected and possible periodic travel to meet customers, design partners, or other product teams.

What you'll do

• Shape the product from the earliest stages of discovery, define customer problems, product thesis, and experience strategy, and help decide what to build
• Design AI-native experiences that define user interactions with agents, models, tools, and automated workflows, addressing intent, delegation, oversight, uncertainty, transparency, correction, escalation, and control
• Simplify complex enterprise workflows into coherent, intuitive experiences while retaining necessary controls for expert users
• Create prototypes early and often to explore ideas, test interaction models, and learn from customers and design partners, using working prototypes rather than static presentations
• Design across the full customer journey including onboarding, core workflows, agent interactions, configuration, collaboration, approvals, exceptions, errors, and ongoing use
• Set and maintain a high quality bar for interaction design, visual design, content, information architecture, accessibility, and product coherence, and identify weak flows and low-quality details
• Work closely with engineers throughout implementation, understanding technical constraints, making tradeoffs, and using coded prototypes and AI-assisted development tools where helpful
• Work directly with customers, design partners, domain experts, and internal teams to learn from usage and combine qualitative research, product data, evaluation results, and support signals to improve the experience
