Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Software Engineering Technical Leader to architect AI-powered internal platforms and drive measurable business impact. You’ll mentor engineers, adopt AI-native best practices, and partner with operations, product, and strategy to align tech with Cisco’s goals.

You will lead the development of scalable AI-enabled platforms, evaluate emerging tools, and ensure cost-efficiency and performance while delivering tangible outcomes such as reduced third-party costs and faster delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant technical experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building and delivering enterprise software solutions.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools integrated into production workflows.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining engineering harnesses (e.g., test automation frameworks, CI/CD infrastructure).
• Experience optimizing performance and cost-efficiency in AI/LLM-enabled software systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and scale AI-enabled platforms that replace legacy enterprise tools and drive operational efficiencies.
• Lead and mentor engineers, embedding AI-assisted development practices to elevate code quality and delivery velocity.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to align technical solutions with business and operational goals.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and best practices into the engineering workflow.
• Ensure the team’s outputs achieve tangible business outcomes, including cost savings and improved productivity.
