Job summary

Madrona Venture Labs in San Francisco is seeking a software engineer to build features across the Impart platform, from Go API services to a React/TypeScript UI. You will design high-volume data processing, pursue performance, reliability, and security, and ship end-to-end capabilities using Docker/Kubernetes and cloud tooling.

You will work closely with AI teams to integrate LLMs, tool-use loops, and guardrails, in a collaborative in-person environment in SF's South Park/SOMA area.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of software engineering experience shipping full-stack features.
• Strong proficiency in Go; API design, relational data modeling, SQL, concurrency, debugging.
• Experience building with TypeScript/React and cloud-native deployment tools.

Responsibilities

• Use AI agents for exploration, debugging, code review, and generation across a polyglot monorepo.
• Build features end-to-end: Go API services, data layers, REST APIs, and React/TypeScript UI.
• Design backend systems for high-volume security data and performance.
• Extend MCP servers to enable natural-language-driven investigations and alerting.
• Test and deploy with Docker/Kubernetes, AWS, Pulumi, and observability tooling.
