Job summary

Madrona Venture Labs is seeking a frontend designer with a strong track record in building production web apps for security-focused products. You will design and implement the Impart console, turning dense security data into intuitive dashboards, inventories, and workflows while shaping a cohesive design system.

Collaboration with product and backend engineers will be essential to ship features with speed and quality.

Qualifications

2–6 years of experience designing and building production web applications.
Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, with modern CSS and component architecture.
Fluency in Figma (or similar) and a track record from research to shipped implementation.
Experience designing data-dense interfaces for technical users (dashboards, tables, charts).
Solid grasp of interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and visual design.

Responsibilities

Design and build the Impart console and related interfaces.
Turn complex security data into clear, actionable dashboards and inventories.
Own and evolve the design system and shared components for fast, consistent shipping.
Design AI-native product experiences and user workflows for detection and actions.
Craft power-user workflows for security engineers and in-browser editors.
Work with customers and engineers to validate designs and iterate on usage feedback.
Drive end-to-end projects from research through deployment and measurement.
Contribute to an engineering culture of curiosity, rigor, and craftsmanship.
In-person in San Francisco preferred.
