Job description

About MUST Company

MUST Company is a South Korea–based company building AI-native products. This role is fully remote, full-time, and open to candidates based in any of the countries listed on this posting.

Role Overview

MUST Company is looking for an AI-Native Design Engineer, AI Products—an AI-native product experience specialist who can define user problems, design precise interactions, build production-ready interfaces, and translate brand intent into reusable product systems.

AI tools and open-source components now allow engineers to produce acceptable interfaces quickly. But acceptable UI is not the same as a valuable product. High-quality products still require someone who can understand users, simplify complex workflows, exercise visual and interaction judgment, and verify that the resulting experience actually works.

This is not a traditional graphic-design role, a Figma-only product-design role, or a frontend role that simply implements handed-off screens. You will work across product thinking, UX, interaction design, brand expression, prototyping, and frontend implementation. You will use AI to increase speed, not to replace judgment.

This is a hands‑on individual‑contributor role working across Match Hire, the Crypto Project, and Pulse / AI OS.

Why This Role Exists

AI coding tools have reduced the cost of producing UI, but they have not removed the need for product experience ownership.

  • AI-generated screens often look functional while hiding weak information architecture and unclear priorities.
  • Different engineers can ship locally reasonable interfaces that do not form one coherent product.
  • Complex AI and agent workflows require new patterns for trust, permissions, progress, errors, review, and human control.
  • Mobile and responsive behavior is often addressed late rather than designed as part of the core experience.
  • Brand identity can disappear when teams assemble generic components and open‑source templates.
  • Teams can add features faster than users can understand or adopt them.

We need someone who can turn these risks into a coherent product experience and close the loop from insight to shipped improvement.

Core Mission

Identify the highest-impact experience bottleneck, redesign the end‑to‑end flow, ship the improvement with the product team, and prove that it made the product easier and more valuable to use.

You will own the full cycle:

  • Observe users and identify the real bottleneck.
  • Define the user goal, context, constraints, and success metric.
  • Simplify the information architecture and interaction flow.
  • Prototype quickly using AI, code, and design tools.
  • Build or pair on production‑ready implementation.
  • Validate across real content, edge cases, permissions, errors, and mobile states.
  • Measure adoption, completion, time‑to‑value, error rate, or conversion.
  • Turn successful patterns into reusable product and brand systems.
What You Will Work On
Match Hire — Hiring Experience
  • Simplify candidate journeys from application and prescreening through Quest, interview, decision, and status updates.
  • Improve recruiter workflows across Kanban boards, candidate profiles, reporting, and Meeting Intelligence.
  • Reduce clutter and expose the next meaningful action instead of adding more visible controls.
  • Design clear evidence, confidence, and review patterns for AI‑assisted matching and evaluation.
  • Improve mobile experiences for candidates completing application, communication, Quest, and status‑checking flows.
  • Use behavioral analytics, session recordings, interviews, and support signals to find and prioritize bottlenecks.
Crypto Project — Product & Brand Experience
  • Strengthen mobile‑first UX across landing, content, community, onboarding, and campaign experiences.
  • Translate brand direction into reusable coded components, interaction patterns, motion, and responsive behavior.
  • Raise perceived quality without creating a design system that slows down campaign execution.
  • Help marketing and content teams produce consistent experiences without relying on one designer or engineer for every update.
Pulse / AI OS — Internal AI Product Experience
  • Make onboarding, account connection, Agent setup, MCP configuration, and first success understandable to non‑technical employees.
  • Design trustworthy patterns for permissions, approval, context, progress, failure, recovery, and human review.
  • Reduce the learning burden of complex AI capabilities through defaults, templates, progressive disclosure, and clear language.
  • Improve day‑to‑day Slack and web workflows so internal members can complete real work smoothly—not only explore demos.
  • Help define reusable UX patterns for AI agents and AI OS modules across teams.
What You Will Do
1. Discover and Frame Experience Problems
  • Observe real users, review support issues and session data, and distinguish symptoms from root causes.
  • Translate requests such as “make the UI cleaner” into a specific user problem, affected flow, baseline, and success metric.
  • Map journeys, states, dependencies, and handoffs across product and operational boundaries.
  • Prioritize work by user value, frequency, risk, business impact, and implementation effort.
2. Design AI‑Native Interactions
  • Design for uncertainty, streaming responses, latency, partial completion, tool calls, permissions, failures, and human approval.
  • Make system status, AI reasoning evidence, limitations, and next actions understandable without overwhelming users.
  • Decide what should be automated, suggested, editable, reviewable, reversible, or kept under human control.
  • Design graceful empty, loading, error, recovery, and low‑confidence states—not only ideal‑path screens.
3. Prototype and Build
  • Move quickly from low‑fidelity flows to interactive prototypes and production‑quality UI.
  • Use Claude, Codex, v0, component libraries, and open‑source references to accelerate exploration and implementation.
  • Write and review frontend code, especially modern React/Next.js, HTML/CSS, and TypeScript‑based interfaces.
  • Collaborate directly in product repositories and close visual and interaction gaps before release.
  • Treat accessibility, responsiveness, content quality, and performance as product requirements.
4. Build Product and Brand Systems
  • Create reusable tokens, components, patterns, templates, and documentation that improve both quality and speed.
  • Encode brand principles in typography, color, layout, motion, voice, imagery, and interaction—not only in static guidelines.
  • Maintain coherence across products while allowing each product to serve its own users and context.
  • Prevent generic “AI‑generated UI” through deliberate hierarchy, restraint, and product‑specific expression.
5. Validate Outcomes
  • Test prototypes and shipped experiences with real users and realistic data.
  • Define and monitor metrics such as activation, completion, time‑to‑value, task success, error rate, drop‑off, repeat use, and support volume.
  • Compare before and after rather than relying on subjective approval alone.
  • Document the problem, decision, result, and reusable learning concisely.
Hiring Process
  • A 5-day remote practical Quest on a real or realistic product‑experience problem. Senior candidates are asked to complete it when additional evidence of hands‑on execution is useful.
  • HR interview.
  • Project Lead interview.
  • Final interview and offer.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For
Required Capabilities
  • A strong portfolio showing end‑to‑end digital product work, including the problem, trade‑offs, shipped result, and evidence—not only polished screens.
  • Strong UX fundamentals: research, information architecture, interaction design, usability, content hierarchy, and responsive/mobile design.
  • Strong visual craft in typography, spacing, composition, states, and design‑system use.
  • Experience working directly with engineers and product owners through implementation and release.
  • Ability to use AI coding and design tools critically: accelerate output, inspect generated work, and correct weak interaction or visual decisions.
  • Ability to simplify complex workflows without removing necessary control, evidence, or domain detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English.
Strong Signals
  • You have designed or built AI, agent, workflow, developer‑tool, B2B SaaS, recruiting, or internal‑tool experiences.
  • You can show a product improvement that changed activation, conversion, task completion, error rate, retention, or support demand.
  • You have built a design system or coded component library that teams actually adopted.
  • You are equally comfortable discussing user behavior, interface details, business value, and implementation constraints.
  • You can identify when the best design decision is to remove, hide, defer, or restructure a feature.
  • You have shipped strong mobile and responsive experiences rather than merely adapting desktop layouts.
  • You can produce brand expression through real product surfaces, not only campaigns or identity decks.
Useful, Not Mandatory
  • Experience with Figma, Framer, Storybook, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, motion libraries, or accessibility testing.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, MCP, AI agents, evaluation interfaces, or human‑in‑the‑loop systems.
  • Experience with analytics and research tools such as Microsoft Clarity, PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or FullStory.
  • Experience in recruiting/ATS, Web3/community products, or internal enterprise tools.
  • Familiarity with design tokens, frontend performance, localization, and content design.
Not Required
  • A pure research or model‑training background.
  • Mastery of every design and frontend tool.
