TrueMeter is seeking an AI-native Data Engineer to own data and AI infrastructure end-to-end, including pipelines, databases, and APIs. You will shape data flow from raw energy telemetry to real-world business impact, collaborating closely with the CTO to scale the stack.

The role requires building production data systems with Python, TypeScript, and GCP, shipping quickly, and continuously improving reliability and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build high-reliability data pipelines and APIs to connect to utilities and energy sources.

• Design GCP infrastructure (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager) for scale and cost efficiency.
• Create infrastructure to enable coding agents and AI tools to automate workflows.
• Set up CI/CD, observability, and automation to keep shipping fast and clean.
• Document and communicate impact metrics across tech and business.
