Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, data science, or related roles.
• Deep SQL expertise with performance, joins, grain, and edge-case reasoning.
• Hands-on data modeling with dbt or similar frameworks; dimensional modeling and contracts.
• Ownership of production data pipelines and warehouse management.
• Strong governance, privacy, lineage, and access-control mindset.
• AI-native approach to development, documentation, QA, and automation.
• Ability to translate messy requirements into trusted models and metrics.
• Autonomy to drive projects from problem to production with minimal oversight.
• Focus on reliability, governance, security, cost, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Build core data foundation with high-quality models, marts, and pipelines.
• Own warehouse architecture, environments, permissions, performance, and cost.
• Make warehouse AI-readable through metadata, lineage, and docs.
• Define dbt patterns, dimensional modeling standards, naming, tests, and reviews.
• Lead data governance across access, ownership, retention, and quality.
• Ensure secure and privacy-conscious data access and AI workflows.
• Automate data quality and maintenance with AI-assisted tests and diagnostics.
• Boost data team productivity by tooling and workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product, and finance to translate needs.
• Shape tooling decisions and manage vendor relationships when needed.
