Perplexity is seeking a senior data scientist/analytics engineer to build AI-powered data systems. You will design end-to-end analytics workflows, form hypotheses, write and run queries, and craft recommendations with guardrails and human review loops.

You will develop retrieval infrastructure for reliable warehouse querying, automate data pipelines, and scale AI-driven analyses across the data team. This role emphasizes autonomy and ownership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data science or related field.
• Strong SQL and analytics judgment.
• Hands-on LLM experience with agents or evals.
• Experience with dbt and Snowflake.
• Ability to ship end-to-end AI data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents that perform data science tasks and generate actionable recommendations.
• Develop reliable data warehouse querying via retrieval infra and evaluation loops.
• Turn AI-assisted workflows into repeatable, reusable data tools.
• Automate the data lifecycle with self-healing pipelines and data quality agents.
• Analyze A/B test results and draft data-driven recommendations.
• Create internal data products used by stakeholders on a daily basis.
