You will design core data models, pipelines, semantic layers, and data quality systems that power the company and support AI agents, data scientists, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as analytics engineer, data engineer, data scientist, or closely related role.
• Deep SQL expertise with performance, joins, grain, and edge cases in complex warehouse queries.
• Hands-on with dbt (or similar) in production; understands dimensional modeling and data contracts.
• Ownership of production data pipelines and data warehouse management.
• Experience with warehouse administration, access patterns, and cost management.
• Governance mindset: data ownership, privacy, lineage, and auditability.
• AI-native approach to accelerate development, QA, and automation.
• Ability to translate messy requirements into trusted models and reusable data assets.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-quality data models, marts, and pipelines for fast, reliable analysis.
• Own warehouse architecture, environments, permissions, performance, and cost.
• Make warehouse AI-readable through documentation, metadata, lineage, and retrieval patterns.
• Define and champion dbt patterns, dimensional modeling, tests, and review processes.
• Lead data governance: access controls, retention, privacy, and data ownership.
• Build AI-assisted workflows to detect issues, explain root causes, and generate tests.
• Automate repetitive workflows and tooling to boost data team productivity.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineering, product, finance, and GTM teams.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy tradeoffs and manage vendor relationships to scale the stack.
