Job summary

JPMorganChase in Seattle seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable infrastructure platforms for enterprise AI/ML workloads. You will collaborate with AI/ML and platform teams to translate compute, storage, networking, and GPU requirements into production-ready platforms for multi-GPU, multi-node model training.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience building scalable and highly available infrastructure for ML workloads.
• Solid system-level understanding of GPU infrastructure and interconnects.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, containers, and production troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python/Go/Java/C#).
• Ability to solve complex design and performance challenges with minimal oversight.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, compute, storage, and security.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, review, and testing.
• Experience coaching senior engineers on compliant AI usage and controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deliver secure, production-grade code.
• Architect and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for multi-GPU AI/ML training.
• Collaborate with AI/ML, data science, and platform teams to translate requirements into platform capabilities.
• Drive architectural decisions for product reliability, security, and scalability.
• Monitor and optimize cloud/GPU resources for performance and cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC for ML platforms.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, contractors, and partners.
• Enforce secure coding, resiliency, and SDLC standards across teams.
• Promote AI-assisted development practices with measurable validation.
