Job summary

SAIC in Chantilly, VA seeks an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Systems Engineer to join our team supporting USG IC and DoD customers. You will work on R&D for AI/ML algorithms and provide SETA support across the full project life cycle. The role involves acquisition packaging, evaluations, and briefings to optimize technical, cost, and schedule performance. Strong communication and analytic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math with 9+ years of relevant experience or 7+ years with a master’s.
• Acquisition support experience of 5+ years.
• AI/ML experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Proficient in Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Develop program acquisition packages (SOW, J&A, RCAP artifacts, RFI/RFP, executive briefs).
• Provide acquisition advisory services during source selections and evaluations.
• Evaluate advanced AI/ML concepts, systems, and architectures for space and ground systems.
• Support SAFe Agile program processes and PI planning.
• Assist in analyses of alternatives to optimize technical, cost, and schedule performance.
• Provide SETA support through the full project life cycle (concept to deployment).
• Prepare technical and programmatic briefings and assessments.
• Assess white papers and vendor materials.
