Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer II in Plano to join the Consumer & Community Banking agile team. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot software components within secure, scalable systems and contribute to AI-enabled development practices across the SDLC.

The role emphasizes production-grade code, collaboration with vendors and internal teams, and applying advanced data analytics to drive decision-making and reliability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning platforms or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python and one or more ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn); data processing with Spark, Pandas, SQL.
• Practical experience with cloud-based ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, Azure ML) or on-premML infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of AI-assisted development tools with ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency and security.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code, and reviews/debugs code written by others.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to boost stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability.
• Designs and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream/downstream systems and implications.
• Gathers and analyzes large data sets to support secure, stable application development.
• Learns and applies system processes and skills for secure, stable code development.
