Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced AI/ML/DL researcher to estimate pre-silicon power and enhance GPU energy efficiency in collaboration with HW/ML experts and infrastructure teams in Santa Clara. You will build data pipelines, tools, and models leveraging Gen AI to improve power management for future AI workloads.

Qualifications

  • MS (or equivalent experience) with proven experience or PhD in related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++, with strong data structures and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with training and fine-tuning large language models, RAG pipelines, vector databases and agentic frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze algorithms and comment on runtimes and memory complexities.
  • Desire to bring quantitative decision-making to energy efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and own advanced AI/ML/DL methodologies to estimate pre-silicon power and improve GPU energy efficiency.
  • Develop tools to gather, build, and annotate domain-specific datasets to train LLMs for various tasks and applications.
  • Leverage Gen AI technologies to solve complex power problems in chip design and drive innovation.
  • Develop tools for training and fine-tuning large language models and RAG pipelines.
  • Build data pipelines to gather power data from silicon, emulation, and other sources.
  • Design tools using LLMs to analyze power patterns and generate optimized code.
  • Enable storage and retrieval of data from databases and create user-friendly visualizations.
