Job summary

Swingtech is seeking a Mid-Level AI/ML Engineer to design and implement AI-enabled solutions within a hybrid DC-area team. The role collaborates with data engineers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver secure and measurable AI capabilities for internal clients.

You will contribute across discovery, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment while adhering to secure software practices. You will work on Python-based projects, CI/CD, and MLOps initiatives, with a focus on reliable model

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of relevant AI/ML implementation experience including NLP or AI-enabled software development.
• Experience with Python, SQL, REST APIs, Git, automated testing, and standard software practices.
• Experience with ML frameworks, LLM APIs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, NLP, or document processing.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP or other cloud environments.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary agile team and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML-enabled applications, APIs, data pipelines, and RAG workflows.
• Support model development, fine-tuning, evaluation, and production monitoring.
• Build RAG capabilities with document ingestion, embeddings, vector indexing, and retrieval.
• Implement secure, auditable workflows with logging, approvals, and safe failure handling.
• Write robust Python/SQL code following secure software practices.
• Create automated unit/integration/data-quality/model-evaluation tests.
• Contribute to CI/CD, DevSecOps, MLOps, and code-review processes.
• Prepare runbooks, release notes, and model documentation.
